
Dr. Malcolm Bilimoria is nationally-recognized in the practice of surgical oncology
with over a decade of experience. He received his medical degree from the Feinberg
School of Medicine, Northwestern University. Dr. Bilimoria was awarded with a membership
to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Society for excellence in medical training.
He completed his surgical residency at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and also completed
a two-year research fellowship at the Robert Lurie Cancer Center. He continued his
training at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Texas where he completed a Surgical Oncology
Fellowship and was named Outstanding Fellow of his graduating class.
Dr. Bilimoria specializes in surgical oncology, and prior to joining Advanced Surgical
Associates, S.C. in 2009, practiced in the northern suburbs of Chicago for 10 years.
Dr. Bilimoria was an Assistant Professor of Surgery at Northwestern University Feinberg
School of Medicine and has won five awards for excellence in teaching. He is a Fellow
of the American College of Surgeons as well as an active member of the Program Committee
for the Society of Surgical Oncology. He has served as professional staff officer
and chairman of the Procedure Review Committee at Evanston Northwestern Healthcare
for five years.
Additionally, he has published more than 50 peer-reviewed articles and textbook
chapters on gastrointestinal surgery. Dr. Bilimoria specializes in gastrointestinal
oncology with special interest in the treatment of pancreas and hepatobiliary diseases.
