Education & Training:
Dr. Loren received his medical degree from Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine. He also earned a Ph.D. in Immunopathology from University of Illinois Medical Center in Chicago. His internship and residency in general surgery were completed at Loyola University Medical Center.Professional Affiliations: Dr. Loren is a Diplomate of the American Board of Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is a member of many professional societies including the American Medical Association, American Society of General Surgeons, American Society of Abdominal Surgeons, Illinois State Surgical Society, Midwest Surgical Society, American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine, American Society of Breast Surgeons, Society for Surgery of the Alimentary Tract, and the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons.
Other: Dr. Loren is a council member of the Chicago Chapter of the American College of Surgeons and currently sits on the Medicare Carrier Advisory Board. He has over ten publications from prior research and several presentations at national meetings.
